Homestead School
Catch the wave into the future- Sustainable, Self-Sufficient Life skills are increasingly in demand, on a personal and on a community level. Garden supply companies, seed companies, nurseries are all reporting record activity and interest as folks become awakened to the new reality. Our world daily becomes less certain and less secure. But you can do something about it. We can all work to re-skill ourselves with the knowledge that was commonplace in our grandparent’s world, but which has not, until now, been necessary in our daily lives.
Here at Green Desert Eco Farm, we have always been excited about sharing our experience and knowledge with others, and now we are taking the next step. Beginning this month, we will offer a regular Course Schedule of classes and workshops focusing on self sufficient living – a Homestead University where you can come and learn a variety of important and useful skills, and have lots of fun doing it.
Just like with the Victory Gardens of the past, our communities and individuals are able to rise up from the corporate-driven, consumerist complacency to a place of resilience and sustainable self-sufficiency and face together our uncertain future. We can help you to accomplish more and to be more. So come out to the farm for a class or two (or all of them) and lets stride positively forward!

I would love to attend some of your classes but the weekends are pretty bad for me. I’ll keep checking though. Thanks for offering them.
Hi Lynne.
I know weekends are tough, but I get few days off.
We’re thinking of hosting some classes weekdays in the Mornings, would that ever work for you?
Richard
We are interested in attending your next chicken class.
Hi Larry, Glad to hear it.
Are your ever available in the mornings?
Richard,
Great selection of classes. Very cool. If my schedule allows, I would like to come to one of them.
Paul
Hi Paul
Thanks for the comment, and we would love to have you. Whichever one you think will work, just let us know.
